Usually, to avoid any local rules or regulations pertaining to the quality or type of entertainment / food or drinks. Most of the ones Iāve been to have been a step or two above dive bars. The waitress you two were trying to identify is Carrie, played by Kathleen Wilhoite. Sheās basically a female version of a ācharacter actorā. I canāt think of anything in which sheās been top billed. But she always does a good job in whatever sheās in. I doubt Iāll watch the remake, becauseā¦why? Iām not really into watching a lot of remakes, especially for movies which (in my opinion) donāt really need it. Not a big fan of āupdated for a modern audienceā remakes, such as āWest Side Storyā (2021), āCarrieā (2013), etc.). Two big exceptions to my above preference: āBen-Hurā (1959) remake of āBen Hur: A Tale of the Christā (1925), and āI Am Legendā (2007) which was a remake of āThe Omega Manā (1971) which itself was a remake of āThe Last Man on Earthā (1964), which was an adaptation of Richard Mathesonās book, āI Am Legendā. I didnāt watch the remake of āBen Hurā(2016), nor will I watch the sequel to āI Am Legendā (no release date yet). Same for āGladiator 2ā (due sometime this year). The stories were done. Why try to make franchises out of them?

2024-05-23 15:53:38 +0000 UTCI've never liked this movie, but I've seen it so many times. I've had friends that always wanted to watch it. And I enjoy looking at boobs so I tolerate it. But I really love the remake. It's one of my favorite movies this year after THE FALL GUY.

2024-05-14 09:41:26 +0000 UTCYeah, me too. Less 80s cheese. 80s movies are fun sometimes because of the cheesiness factor, but the original Road House just maxes out on the cheesiness--to the point that it becomes slightly unbearable to watch.

Also, I grew up watching this film by about 100 thousand times and I have to be honest it completely went over my head for years about what the āBleederā said to Dalton about āWeāve been looking all over for you..ā. When you guys pointed that out I started laughing hysterically! š¤£š¤£

It's so dumb, but it's clear that everyone is in on the ridiculous stupidity (without quite winking at us) which then totally lends the whole thing some sort of bizarre, dignified credibility. Oh, and fun fact: pain actually does hurt.

2024-05-03 01:35:46 +0000 UTCI started watching this last night to get ready for this reaction and I fell asleep ten minutes in not because I was bored but I was tired lol ill be back after I watched it first on my own lol š¤·āāļøš¤¦āāļøš and I have watched Jake Gyllenhaal's Road House I enjoyed it a lot but maybe it was because I hadn't seen this first one first so I didn't have anything to compare it too, short answer I think yall will enjoy it as well, yall are very open minded when it comes to films!
