Web DM Podcast 225 - Alignment Salt and other Qs

Hello DMNs! Hope you're all doing well. We are hanging in there. We are sorry to report that Pruitt has covid, but is recovering safely at home. Jim, Emma, and Trogdor have managed to pass their CON saves following multiple exposures, but school is shut down until at least next week, so we are continuing to juggle parenting and business-ing.

We recorded a lovely podcast for you, but be warned - we recorded at night, and we are always a little more unhinged after a long day of pretending to be whatever it is Trogdor is into that day. Ultimately that makes it funnier, if a bit more all over the place.

We start with reacting to the reactions to our latest alignment video a bit, and then we get into some excellent questions. Time stamps:

21:53 - Matthew: What other forms for fantasy worlds, such as flat earth, hollow world, ring world ect, do you think would be fun?

27:25 - Munchmachine:  How do you approach downtime in higher levels; do you change it at all?

37:24 - Gray L: Have you ever had a setting that distinguished between “good” and “bad” magic? If so, how did you implement those distinctions in a gameable way?

44:40 - Nicholas Phariss: What do you find is the best way to take 5E players and introduce them to a more OSR system/game? If you had to make a Desert Island OSR toolkit or 3 or less products, which would you choose and why?

How are you all doing? A statistically significant portion of you are probably sick right now, and if that is you we hope your recovery is swift and uneventful. If there's anything we can do to help you to take your mind off things and check out in this wide world of RPGs, let us know! We're here for you in spirit and in actuality as much as we can.

Cheers,

Jim and Emma
