Hello DMNs! Thank you for being here! We hope you're doing well.
A couple updates for ya:
--We've got an update on Weird Wastelands over on Kickstarter that features tons of art if you'd like to see it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/webdm/worlds-of-web-dm-weird-wastelands/posts/3447875
Progress on the manuscript is going very well! Our work is under intensive review and we're making revisions to make it the best book it can be. The 2C team excels at mechanical design and attention to detail, and we're very happy they're putting our work through its paces.
--We expect to be returning to a more regular release schedule the week after next! We're resuming recording next week, and then things will start going out the week after. This means we'll have more content for you to access here on Patreon. Thank you so much for sticking with us while we redirected effort to the book in the last 5 weeks.
And finally, here's today's podcast! We give you an update on a game we've been playing, then we've got questions from you fine folks. We tried to answer similar questions together to get us some chonky sections. Time stamps for you:
18:32 - Brian Dezarn: my group is having some issues with scheduling and DM vs. player goals. Do you have an idea on how to amicably find a happy solution?
28:23 - Sean: I'm new to DMing and will shortly be running Curse of Strahd for a group of friends, and I wanted to know what advice you'd have for running a module.
38:22 - Tijmen: How would you run intrigue in a city with more than three antagonistic factions concurrently?
45:16 - Joseph: I have a question for using multiple villains and factions. How do you keep the enemies they face varied?
51:08 - Magnus: Y'all think the rules from Theros could be bent towards Warlocks? I mean I know the answer is yes, it's possible. How easy and streamlined would it be, RAW, however?
52:47 - Rockinroller97: How to GM a warlock patron who is different from the average clerical god (as in a purely benevolent patron) without having said warlock patron be so antagonistic that either the warlock player, or the rest of the party, gets upset over having to deal with the warlock's bullshit on a semi regular basis.
1:00:58 - Morgan: What are your thoughts on my rules-lite TTRPG magic system!
As always, if you have any questions, feedback, general comments, or ways we can make your experience of being a Web DMN better, please keep in touch! We love hearing from you, and we hope you have a great weekend,
