Hello DMNs! How are ya! We've got a shorter pod for you today - we all had a cold at the start of the week, which means we had to record later and go as long as we had energy for, but that is not for lack of enthusiasm on the topic!
Jim is preparing to run an open table game at a library in his personal time, and so we're talking through considerations for running a game with a revolving queue of players of various ages and skill levels in a large group with a very firm time limit. It's a challenge! Have any of you ever tried your hand at this kinda game? What tips do you have for us?
Time Stamps:
2:59 - Kevin Davis: I need some tips for large groups. I have a horror campaign that I am running that is a consistent 8+ players. I am trying out a number of different tricks and tips but am still struggling to provide a solid gaming experience. Can you suggest anything outside what I have listed below or maybe elaborate on how you make them work for you?
13:47 - Soilent Brad: One of my players is leaving soon - having a baby and, of course, wants to spend loads of time both with the new wife and new baby. However, this player wants his character to go out in a blaze of glory, turning on the party at the behest of Shar. How can I prepare the group for the upcoming PvP without spoiling that it’s going to happen?
23:08 - Jim Davis: Library DM!
