Watching Over - Step by Step Tutorial

I spent the first few minutes sketching something and ended up not being happy with it so you'll see that I make a redesign on it around the 7 minute mark (and I also explain this in the video). So feel free to skip to the 7 minute mark to see this piece start to take shape!
Thanking you all for taking part in the latest tutorial poll! Looks like it is definitely leaning towards the 'How to create rocks' tutorial but will make it official in a seperate post in the coming days.

I'd love a bit more instruction to go along with these...I see your step-by-step is you selecting all of the tools, but it is often hard to see what you are doing. Would love a simple voice-over that includes commentary on what tools you are selecting and why (e.g. creating a new layer and duplicating and flipping so we have the reflection in the water, then blurring it with Gaussian..." etc.
