Idea Submission for Exclusive April Tutorial!

Comments

maybe a tutorial on cliffs or how to light a scene up

Shawn Allen

I would love more cliffs and boulders

LH Naseeb

A fantasy blimp at a sky docker kind of environment

caspgin

Mix of rain, flowers and underwater

Supriya G

I'd love a deeper dive into your art setup. What shortcuts you use, how you have your PS workplace setup (like what windows and stuff you keep open). And id also love a walkthrough of how you use layers in your art in PS.

Risi Nyx

Different textured rocks. Some with moss

Jonathan Phillips

Floating rocks. Alien worlds.

Tony Helms

Is there a birds-eye-view tutorial yet? I would love to see something in that perspective.

Kevin Oskow

A downtown/city centre scene with a main street and shops and such like on both sides perhaps?

Romain DÉCOTTE

Would love a tutorial for a rainy/stormy environment!

Mike Ezepchick

Creating interesting background compositions

Jr kelly

Rice farming fields with small wooden house kind of thing ..where people stay at night to guard the harvest

Abi gowdhaman

They sounds like great topics! I think a detailed texture tutorial would be helpful too!

Philip Sue

River, forest, desert, or cave :)

Creating a Unique & Appealing Shape & Finding its Form/Dimension Looking at the previous posts... I understand the concept of the brushing and erasing technique. Yes, a geometric shape will have a top, sides, & bottom. We should be using different brush sizes, change its angles, think where the light is coming from, etc. And while 'feeling it out' is good and all, I often wonder whether that advice is more for people who already has a lot of drawing mileage. If this can somehow be explained with a more fundamental/study-material breakdown, that'll be most interesting to learn. I believe a lot of us understand the concept but have trouble applying it. (And currently, I worry whether I'm polishing a turd :✨💩✨) But if this triggers a 'oh-dear-me-newbie-there's-really-nothing-more-to-it-than-follow-along-and-practice,practice,practice...', then I would definitely appreciate knowing that too 😅 Thank you!! [for letting me vomit my message]

I would love a more refined tutorial on natural pallets. Maybe a mix of more detailed textures + natural pallets?

Lucas Ballard

Awesome! Lots of love for the Pokémon center piece! Thankfully I had recorded the process for that 😉 that’ll be here on Patreon at some point soon

Philip Sue

Fantastic thought! I can jot this down to being something like: “Rendering/Finalizing/Post-Production & optimising for print/web”

Philip Sue

A bit like the pokemon center, kinda living landscape with green space (waterfall, building, trees). Loved the more closer view too.

Nicholas Dalpé-Mainville

Hello Philip, would love to see a video on rendering and post-processing. Maybe going into the nitty-gritty details. Pretty much how to finish a piece off so you can look at it and say "thats finished" :)

bosomfiend

awesome! then maybe something with buildings, like the pokemon center you did a bit back

Wyatt Franklin

Great Idea!

Philip Sue

Usually the same process. But when doing distant mountains, You'd generally want to create smaller textures and details/shapes to emphasize that it is far away :)

Philip Sue

This one sounds great!

Philip Sue

I'd love to see something on different ways to add texture to natural environments!

Emma Kramer

I know you did a tutorial on rocks, but do you tackle your big mountains differently?

Wyatt Franklin

Different viewpoints for backgrounds.
