*Chapter 122 - Vorganoth and the Bone Lord

Chapter 122 – Vorganoth and the Bone Lord

“TREY…” the deep phantom voice from Talsh’Noc’Un shook him to the core as he watched on helplessly to witness what was surely soon to be the death of his cousin.  “WE LEAVE NOW… SUMMON THE OTHERS!”

The other members of Trey’s group excluding his minions, as well as Kurt’s family, were all outside talking frantically amongst one another as they witnessed the atrocity Vorganoth was committing somewhere else.  Other families had taken to the streets as well, trying to shield their children’s eyes as if that would stop the images from coming.

Trey looked questioningly to his godsword.  “What?”

“PICK UP THE VARWARP CLOAK,” commanded the godsword as its presence boomed out in waves of power.  “IT IS A NECESSARY SACRIFICE… WE HAVE VORGANOTH’S LOCATION… AND HE HAS YOUR BLOODLINE… WE LEAVE NOW!!!”

Izumi didn’t question his actions and neither did any of the others as Trey gave Ezdeath a nod, and then held out his hand as crimson light began drawing pentagrams into the dirt beneath his feet.

People started to scream from across the street and run away as Sithis, Atharost, Juila, Napoleon, Piggy and Rivia all made their way from their individual nether realms into the world of man.  But Trey didn’t care one bit, and he had a job to do.

Putting on the Varwarp Cloak he let Talsh’Noc’Un take control, as  Ezdeath’s true demonic form came to light.  The magic from the Varwarp cloak was manipulated by the ability granted to Talsh’Noc’Un by Alkir to engulf not only Trey, but Atharost and Sithis as well as the greatsword commanded them to come into a huddle.  Without questioning it, they did exactly that.  Trey felt his grip on the sword tighten, the magic flooding through him, and his minions all coming in close to wrap their bodies together as tightly as they could.

Trey’s mind was racing and he didn’t necessarily understand the plan of action at first as they all started to float above the nearby buildings - but Talsh’Noc’Un broadcast his own plan to the minds of its master and his other minions, explaining what needed to be done.  The course was set, their resolve solid, and a moment later the summoner and his demons rocketed upwards and then to the north at supersonic speed as a seal of a flaming throne illuminated a large circlet around them briefly; causing them to break the sound barrier and causing a sonic boom to shake the entire city below them.  As they went, Trey could see the Varwarp Cloak’s Durability steadily drop:  3008, 3007, 3006… And by the time they had reached their destination the cloak had been utterly destroyed.

========================================================================

Day: 197, Year: 5090

Name: Conner Orclid

Title: Vorganoth’s Butcher

Level 78

Virdad, Conner’s right hand man and a ghoul himself, laughed devilishly and he hit the woman one last time across the face - leaving her bloodied as he spat.  “WHORE!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GREAT MOUTHPIECE WE’VE ALL BEEN HEARING ABOUT?  YOUR PUNY GOD IS NOTHING AMONGST US!  YOUR GOD IS WEAK!”

The woman Conner despised so much, Carol, was still sobbing uncontrollably after her friends had all been brutally killed… and she’d been disarmed.

Virdad snickered to himself.  Sex was still good even as a ghoul, this life wouldn’t be too bad after all.  The large man turned to another ghoul nearby.  “You’re up next.  And you mages make sure to keep her magic suppressed.”

The man approached and did as he was commanded to start his turn fucking the helpless victim and Virdad once again chuckled to himself.  Putting on his clothes he took a bite out of a nearby corpse, chewed, and swallowed.  This wasn’t half bad.  There were still a few screams echoing about the city but for the most-part they had died down now.  All that was left was the keep in the center of the city, and Etelo had already taken a large portion of the horde to surround it for the upcoming and final attack.  The broadcast was still set in motion and would continue to broadcast for at least the next eight or nine hours, it had been set up pre-emptively so that no one would have to worry about upkeep.  To have the kind of power to broadcast to an entire planet… that was something Virdad had previously thought impossible.  But, they did have that sword… Vorganoth was certainly powerful.  And they needed to finish their attack on the inner city before the vision ended, so Virdad was sure the assault wouldn’t wait for more than a few more hours at most.

Nearby and upon a pile of bodies sat Conner, with Vorganoth embedded into the mound of flesh.  He was meditating, as he usually did when he and the godsword began eating the souls of the dead - and seemingly at peace with the new, huge body of bones and magically imbued joints.

Virdad winced at the thought of what that must be like.  It was probably the most evil thing you could ever even think of doing.  Murdering someone was one thing, but consuming their souls afterwards?  Robbing them of the afterlife?  That was downright barbaric.. Or perhaps that’s just what he thought because he was new to being undead.

When all was said and done he wouldn’t ever have to worry about his status in life.  He could have as many women as he wanted after this, he was sure.  When the other nations of Nagochus fell to them he’d be a lord among lords and at the top of the food chain to serve directly under the new god and master of Nagochus.  With every victory their army was growing stronger as they added more and more bodies of the dead to their horde.  The other nations simply wouldn’t be able to cope - unless they all organized together here and now.  That, though, would never happen - and that is precisely why they would all fall before Vorganoth.

Virdad stopped over the body of a silver haired elf wearing Vetteresie armor.  She was stunning, or had been before Conner had killed her.  Virdad stooped down and inspected the wounds and then her face.  Yes he would be sure they turned this one into one of the undead, and she would be his.  The first of his concubines.  He would have many more to come.

Then he froze.

From far to the south Virdad felt something like a wave of… heat?  Power?  He wasn’t sure.  Virdad raised an eyebrow and looked further south but couldn’t see anything at that moment amidst the storm.  Dark clouds, pouring rain, and waves of undead crawling over the city was all that met his eyes - until he caught a glimpse of a small glowing orange dot in the cloud-ridden sky.  He looked left, noting that Conner had felt it too… as had many of the other undead - and all of them turned in unison to watch as the dot steadily grew larger.  Whatever it was, it was headed their way.

Conner laughed cockily.  “Another display from Agnude I presume?  MAY THE WORLD WATCH AS I CRUSH HIS EFFORTS YET AGAIN!”

The huge undead, armored with innate bone plating and a horde of minions surrounding him, merely laughed a deep and malevolent cackle.  Conner was going to say something else as he began to address the world once more, but was stopped short didn’t get the chance to begin… as the gigantic ball of light hurled as a comet of rage to make direct contact with the bone lord.

The ground exploded with power, and the impact sent Conner at high speed through eight separate buildings - and then through the far wall to bounce along the ground and out into the forest - leaving a trail of chaos magic, dozens of obliterated undead minions, and a trail of flames behind him.

Virdad’s jaw dropped and the ghoul nearly pissed himself before the roar of a devil met his ears and hellfire baptized him, sending him into the afterlife before he’d even knew what the fuck had just killed him as the last image of a gigantic, winged, four-armed beast shot skywards.

Fully armored and bearing Eleknar’s sigil on the heavy metal plates she wore, Ezdeath appeared from the molten crater of dust and smog.  Her wings stretched out, and her long obsidian pyke - etched with demonic runes that flares crimson - twirled effortlessly around in her fingertips.

She viewed the scattered horde of undead with disgust, scoffing openly as the trio of Rivia, Piggy and Napoleon all stepped out of the ashen cloud behind her.

“Stay together and keep each other safe.  I do not wish to have to babysit you, and I’ll be going all out.”  Ezdeath turned slightly, glaring meaningfully at Rivia who nodded in understanding.  “I’ll be seeing you soon.”

With that, two dozen hellfire missiles erupted into space and tore into the disoriented undead but only a few dozen yards away.  Then, in a blur of motion that none of the rest of them could see, Ezdeath quickstepped and tore into a nearby abomination - sending the huge, multi-limbed pumpkin of a large two-story monster belching blood as its entrails were ripped from its body effortlessly.

“Stay here, and don’t move from the spot.” Atharost said as he too stepped forward from the dust cloud, flames licking at his body lovingly as rings of fire began to spiral out around him in preparation for his ultimate ability.  “That way I can cast the spell and avoid hitting any of you in the meantime.  This spot will be spared, you have been warned.”

The sky lit up with Atharost’s firestorm as it funneled down hell onto the horde of the dead, burning half of the city as it went even amidst the rain while Atharost and his familiar, Boxamoth, flew skywards and tore the nearby buildings apart with an inferno of mana - tearing off wood and stone alike as flesh became cinder to wreak havoc amongst the army of the dead that still didn’t know what in the hells was happening.

Soon Juila was joining the battle, smashing and tearing apart ghouls, zombies and mutated abominations one after the other as her warhammer and hands crushed and ripped.  Every time she got injured, her blood aura would soak up life from the wounded enemies nearby - and soon she was stepping over mounds of bodies alongside Ezdeath as explosions of dark and curse magic erupted around them while Napoleon and Rivia cast.

The low level zombies  and ghouls died by the hundreds as Rivia’s pestilence spell was repeatedly cast over an over again, her shimmering red halo drastically reducing her cast time and giving a necrotic rot that ate away at the creatures en masse.

All the while, Piggy just sat silently by as water plastered her face to drip down her bare skin.  Her tattoo pulsed green light every once in a while, but she didn’t need to release her stored energy from all the abuse she’d received just yet.  That would-

Her thoughts were interrupted as an enormous skeletal serpent screeched and rounded on Rivia - only to meet a green fireball from Napoleon before Piggy rushed forward and ripped the spine in two.

The huge undead creature was crumpled up like a piece of used parchment, and then tossed aside without a second thought as another fireball from the sky blasted the area Piggy had just been moments before.

“Thanks.” Rivia muttered with her back to a lone-standing stone wall near the molten crater before continuing to cast as Sithis and Atharost worked the left, while Ezdeath and Juila worked the right amidst the mixed downpour of flame and rain.

“For the heir.” Piggy replied sweetly as she appreciated the insane strength Trey’s abuse had instilled within her unholy script.

Simply put, it was carnage - and Trey’s minions were slaughtering the waves of undead in a blitz of relentless rage and violence. The element of surprise was on their side, but there were still many hundreds or even thousands more enemies to be dealt with.

“CREATOR!” screamed a huge, four-legged, crab-like abomination - looking for Conner amidst the sudden onslaught that’d come in a fiery ball of wrath out of the sky.  The creature was easily four stories tall, with huge muscular arms that carried a tree in its hands to use as a club.  Like some of the other large abominations, it also had a long maw split down the front of its belly - and a long tongue hung out hungrily while it internally battled the confusion and hunger it had in order to seek out its master.

It crushed another ghoul in its haste, battling the oncoming wave of its own kind that were madly dashing towards the demons in a hungry horde of gaping jaws - trying to get to Conner to make sure he was alright in a mad rush.  It rumbled a deep boom and dashed through the city with enormous legs that kept it at high speeds, just until series of chaos balls ripped into it - sending pieces of bodies that made up the disgusting creature into the air, and it caused the undead creature to slow.  The gigantic body was suddenly filled with weeping, burning holes that slowly started to auto-regenerate, and the monster looked down at the damage curiously while gripping the tree-weapon tightly before turning to the culprit.

Before him: a young, abyssal devil stood atop a building openly laughing in his face as it ripped off the head of another large, undead abomination and threw it to the monstrosity’s feet in disgust.  Brain and blood left a dirty trail until it rolled unto the creature’s feet, stopping only a few feet away from the crab-like legs.

Two wings, four clawed arms, a long tail, obsidian skin and four glowing green eyes - with long rows of permanently smiling daggers for teeth - were all positioned aggressively in one way or another as the demon stared the undead monster down.

“You certainly are more sturdy than your counterparts…” mused Sithis as he squared up with the larger undead, flames of black and crimson chaos burning across his body in a display of menacing strength while the gray, thick undead creature let off a low and threatening growl in turn.

But Sithis was not phased in the least.  “I wonder what makes you tick… LET ME TAKE YOU APART AND SEE!”

Sithis roared and bolted headlong to tackle the brute, blasting through the tree effortlessly as the undead swung, and soon the two were grappling with one another in a fight that had millions across the world fixated.  Amongst the explosions of the firestorm and carnage, the devil fought to gain the upper hand on the much larger monstrosity.

“GROVEL BEFORE THE HEIR!” screamed Sithis gleefully as he broke away and launched himself up over the undead creation to unleash another series of chaos magics and hellfire blasts.  He himself was bathed in the fires of chaos as he dove down again with such force that the impact caused the huge crab-like monster to blast into the ground beneath him, forming a small crater as the beast desperately tried to fight off the archdemon while it clawed away and spewed acid onto the devil’s flesh.

A little bit to the east Atharost was having his own battles.  Swinging the fiery tail around and catapulting himself into the air he burst into and through the body of another four-story crab-like monstrosity before turning around to rain fire into yet another pack of ghouls.  He looked like a living flame of vengeance as his tail whipped around to slice through even more of his enemies, landing back onto the ground next to Juila as she literally crushed a ghoul warrior with a single stomp of her large hoof, and letting out an evil laugh as he took fun while starting the killing beside her.  “BRING ME MORE!”

***

Carol had been flung against a nearby wall with the impact that had sent Conner through and out of the city.  Blood ran down her dirty-blonde hair over her eyelids, causing her to blink numerous times and wipe it away in order to see properly.  Open wounds, burns, and even her insides hurt after the torture and rape she’d undergone after her friends had all been slaughtered, and it took everything she had in her just to remain conscious.  Her head spun and she tried to grapple with reality to regain control, and her chest heaved with the strain of trying to breath.  Even dizzy though, she could tell that the battle had begun anew.

Had the attack on the inner city already commenced?

Fire intermixed with raindrops as explosions of fire and darkness repeatedly tore into the earth and undead around her, setting them alight with fire or necrosis by the hundreds.  Once in a while she’d see flying figures up in the sky from where she sat - two alight with flames, a winged female warrior, and a collared naked woman who was covered in tattoos that’d occasionally glow green with insane bursts of power.  Seeing them only lasted a couple seconds at a time though, as her vision was foggy anyways - she was dazed and confused, and these unknown figures would dip back down into the city moments after sighting them.

After a short time though, her head began to clear - and the picture of what was happening became recognizable.  Her eyes widened, and she gawked at the absolute devastation being done to the creatures that’d plagued her for so long.

The undead that had been holding her down were all gone now, but she didn’t know why.  She felt the heat of flames searing her skin and cried out for just a moment before a sweet soothing sensation began to overcome her.  She gladly welcomed it, and soon the rest of the haze in her mind cleared to where she could finally think normally.  Her HP bar was steadily going back up.  She was looking at the cobblestone ground beneath her when she finally gained her mind again and pushed herself up to a sitting position, naked amidst the burning city and corpses.

And then she saw them.

In front of her was a pair of black-mithril leggings and a long, slender, black tail that ribboned about her to float in the breeze.  Her heartbeat spiked again, and she slowly lifted her head to look into a pair of glowing crimson eyes.  It was a demon, or what she assumed to be a demon.  She had never seen one before but if this wasn’t one then she’d have been incredibly surprised.  The black mithril suit he wore was somewhat form fitting and displayed musculature underneath where the plates weren’t fixed, and instead a silky black material presented itself.  The demon had wavy brown hair with two black horns protruding from his forehead, and the suit covered his entire body as one piece - aside from his fingertips - all the way up to the bridge of his nose so that only his eyes and part of his ears could be seen.  Beside him stood an insanely pretty, purple skinned woman with red eyes and a smaller set of black horns - and she carried a large crucifix staff with an imp on her shoulder.

“Stay here.” The male demon said as the female gave a brief nod and turned around to scowl at the surrounding area.

Then, carefully, the male demon knelt down on one knee to meet Carol’s gaze at eye level.

“Carol Bon…” muttered the demon, giving Carol pause when she heard the words.  It was a familiar voice… but she couldn’t exactly place it.  “Do you know who I am?”

The world watched as the beautiful young warrior woman wiped tears away from her eyes and shook her head.  “No… I don’t.”

She looked around again and saw the damage that these demons had done, and then saw another one flying high above into the sky before soaring down into a pack of undead far away with a loud explosion that rocked her even from there.  “Are you going to kill me?”

The demon chuckled sadly, his glowing red eyes narrowing… and for the first time - Carol noted how there seemed to be crowns encircling his irises.

“No.  I am not.”

The demon reached up and touched the part of the suit that hid his face, and a moment later - the assassin suit began to morph.  The metal trickled down and seemed to melt away to reveal the demon’s features down to his neck, and Carol gasped and held up her hands to cover her mouth before more tears came and she threw her arms about her cousin to violently shake and cry.

“TREY!  Oh my god Trey… What… I don’t even…” Carol couldn’t put her words together as she sobbed uncontrollably yet again and Trey held her in the embrace for a long time before letting go.

“I’m so sorry…” muttered Trey as he let go of Carol.  “To think that you’d be here too, just… wow.  And what you were put through.  I… I don’t even know what to say.”  Trey looked truly upset as he tried to find the words, and this time it was Carol who found them.

“You don’t need to say or explain anything, I’m just glad you’re here,” Carol sniffled thrice over, unable to get ahold of herself at first - before remembering the enemy in their midst.  “You can tell me later… but we need to run!  Trey, Conner isn’t dead!  There’s no way that killed him!  He has a weapon, an ancient sword of incredible power!  If we run, we can regroup with others and-”

“No.  We’re not running.”  Trey’s expression turned to one of cockiness as he stood and grinned.  He hoisted Talsh’Noc’Un from off his back and the gigantic weapon hissed loudly as it’s single crescent rune at the base of the blade burned crimson red just as Trey’s eyes did.  “Sit tight and stay safe m’lady, I’m off to slay the big bad wolf.”

Carol’s brows furrowed in confusion… but she didn’t have time to ponder his words as an explosion rocked her world in the vision of her mind.  Out in the forest, Conner stood up and screamed in rage as a large piece of his boney body fell off of his left shoulder.  For the first time since finding Vorganoth, Conner was in pain - and a strange dark liquid oozed out of his shoulder wound to seep down his bone plated chest.

And Vorganoth screamed in rage as well.  “TALSH’NOC’UN!”

The plethora of voices reverberated throughout the city and a wave of dread overtook the audience that was held captivated by the recent events.

Talsh’Noc’Un exploded in a rage of chaos magic, rippling with black lightning and hellfire with an eagerness oozing out of the weapon.

“VORGANOTH!  YOUR TIME ENDS NOW!” screamed Trey’s own greatsword as a wave of fury built up from within him.

Trey had no idea what the history was between these two weapons, but it was very apparent that they not only knew each other - but they hated each other.

Trey’s assassin suit molded back over his face and with a single jump he leapt out over one of the smaller nearby buildings - shadowstepped over the nearby wall of the city, and landed about a hundred yards from the place Conner had been sent.  As the dust from the impact settled, Trey turned back briefly to observe the flaming ruins behind him..  A long trail of mud and dirt extended beyond the wall where a hole had been made by Conner’s soaring body after Trey’d hit him, and a pile of rubble was evident not far off from where the wall had exploded.

“YOU DARE!” The bone lord yelled through rows of razor teeth, black eyes narrowing with a low hiss.  His muscles between the layers of bone armor contracted, radiating death mana as he sent out wisps of black to scream and fling themselves at the summoner.  “I will have your soul…”

“Kill him… Take what is ours…” Eleknar echoed into Trey’s mind, sending thoughts of brutal murder racing across his conciousness.  “Kill him now…  We must have Vorganoth…”

Trey whirled, feeling the incoming attack in a split second and reacting insanely fast.  In an explosion of shadow, Trey’s body erupted with power and collided with the wisps.

A cackle of insanity rang out across the battlefield as the demon mask for aspect of the devil emerged, smiling wickedly out from the downpour of the storm and flames with long sharp teeth.  Trey’s body was neither physical nor phantom, but a mixture of the two as he phased in and out of shadowform while an aura of extreme magical proportions caused the ground beneath him to quake and the air to shimmer.  The two greatsword wielders stood eyeing each other down for a time as their swords hissed loudly and simultaneously.

It was Trey who broke the trance, and he was eager to feel this man’s blood on his hands.  This… creature had violated and harmed his cousin.  Those undead minions violated Carol, one of the kindest people Trey knew, and he’d be damned if he didn’t consume this man’s body and soul with as much hate and torturous rage as he could muster.  He lifted up one long claw - palm up - beckoning the man named Conner to come at him with a motion of his fingers.

The bone lord screamed out his challenge and dove headlong to clear the hundred yard gap in a couple bounds that caused the nearby earth to shake.  He’d been flung into such a rage that the bait had worked perfectly - Trey shadowstepped behind the bone lord and unleashed an Obliterate attack combo’d with a Horror Crusader’s ‘Terror Striken’ that hit Conner square in the back.

“Your ability, Horror Crusader: Terror Stricken, has gained 1 level.”

Horror Crusader: Terror Stricken (Sacred Art) - Level 2

*Empower your next weapon strike with terror imbued dark magic.  Upon contact

the target will lose all buffs, become terror stricken, and take an additional 250%

of base physical damage from dark magic.  Terror may be resisted by a

high willpower.  Strike gains +200 Speed.

Conner let out a squeal of pain as the bone armor along his back was ravaged and he was once again sent headlong into the city wall.  Before Conner could recover: a storm of shadow blades and chaos balls annihilated the spot at which he had landed, turning the wall into exploding rubble that buried the bone lord beneath.

“Don’t keep me waiting!” mocked Trey with a crazed cackle as he rushed the wall.  Conner erupted from the rubble to send pieces of dust and stone flying into Trey’s face, and with a downward swing connected Vorganoth with Talsh’Noc’Un.  The surge of power from both weapons sent an aftershock that exploded and caused the ground beneath them to shatter - creating a large crater that sent dust and debris everywhere.

Insanity had almost completely taken over Trey at this point as the rage bar hit 82%, emphasizing his attack bonus as well, and in his glee - he cast a berserk from his godsword.   Stepping back just momentarily to gain sight of his opponent as Conner burst through the ashes and dust, Trey’s crimson spidered out from his eyes to cover much of his face and a will to kill overtook him.

“KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL!!!!!!!” Trey screamed to echo the thoughts swimming within his mind while simultaneously mocking Vorganoth’s earlier screams.  The brief amount of training, tips, and tricks Ezdeath had taught him in the past few weeks came in clutch, and the difference in swordsmanship between Trey now and how he had been was apparent.  Blow after blow was exchanged as the two gigantic swords collided with one another, neither giving ground and causing massive amounts of destruction about them as trees, city wall, and buildings evaporated in the exchange.

Pestilence, predator aura, mark prey, dreamweaver, initiate vortex, arcane chains, chaos ball, chaos ball, chaos ball, shadow blades, cursed strike, phantom spire, doubting fears - the spells were cast in incredibly quick succession between blade strikes as his berserk mode went haywire.  Trey’s movements were fluid, fast, and unforgiving as his lithe figure writhed between physical form and shadow - and soon the Vatosis Inferna began to look like he was dancing to a melody of incoming death.  Every strike, counterstrike, and spell seemed beautiful in its act.  Conner tried casting a roar of the banshee to silence Trey’s spells, but his berserker effect made him immune to all debuffs…  Conner was just beginning to lose his edge.

“BONE WALL!” screamed Conner after being flung back twenty yards from another blow.  A mountain of bone shot up from the ground inbetween the two combatants and Conner followed it up with another telekinetic barrier.

Images of Carol’s abuse rocked Trey’s mind as he went.  He was getting angrier… meaner… and more reckless by the second.

“RHAAAAAA!” screeched Trey with insanity coursing through his veins.  His rage bar hit 100%, and a moment later… he unleashed a huge portion of his mana in one go - resulting in a flood of power that berated the bastard that’d dared hurt Carol.

But it didn’t come out the way Trey thought it would…

“You have created a new spell: Enraged Demonic Pulse.”

Enraged Demonic Pulse (Unique Tier 2 Chaos) - Level 1

*Rage bar must be at 100% to use.  Unleash your inner fury upon your enemies

in a wave of destruction, bypassing 70% of armor and significantly damaging it

as the magic passes through.  The more hated your enemies are, the more

damage this spell does.  Large area of effect.  High cooldown.

The tier 2 Chaos spell burst from his personage in a torrent of rage with the sound reverberating throughout so loudly that it literally pained the entire world as the attack commenced.  The mountain of swirling crimson and black energy shot out in all directions before converging on Trey’s target - blasting apart Conner’s barriers and ripping into the bone lord; causing the bone lord to scream in agony.

But Trey wasn’t done.  As soon as the attack ended Trey shot forward at ferocious speed to clear the gap between them while pieces of bone fell down about them and he rocketed a blow upwards into the chest of his opponent.  Conner didn’t have time to react and took the blow at full force, tearing a large piece of his chest and anterior spine out - flinging him into the air over the next hill like a rocket.

The songs of the angels of wrath were next to grace the ears of the peoples of Nagochus as ‘Lullaby of the Behemoth’ kicked into high gear.  A counterattack had been launched from Conner mid-air in a blast of necrotic energy, but the attacks seemed to completely avoid the summoner - swirling around him to pass him by completely - as creation molded to Trey’s will amidst the lullaby’s power.

“Talsh’Noc’Un has evolved.  For further inquiry, please see the status page of your weapon.” a mechanical voice echoed into Trey’s mind - but he was so crazed he didn’t even register it.  A second smaller crescent rune appeared above the first on the blade’s base, and began to glow crimson in turn.

Before Conner could hit the ground Trey had launched two chaos chains, impaling the asshole and yanking him back towards Trey’s location as the summoner grinned evilly at the incoming bastard.  “RHHAAAAAAAA!!!!”

Trey’s scream was that of a gleeful madman, savagely swinging at the bone lord like Trey was batting a fleshy baseball using Talsh’Noc’Un to do it.

The chains tore out of the undead’s body as the resultant force of Trey’s blow shattered them, ripping pieces of Conner out with them as the undead creature rocketed forward again - and Trey vaporized a split second later in a shadowstep to be directly above his target.  Mid-air, he swung downwards with all his might, this time splitting the dumb fucker in two and sending the halves of his body rocketing into the ground in an explosion of chaos.

“SQUEAL FOR ME!!!!” screamed Trey from high up in the air as he cast another series of chaos chains that missiled their way from about Trey downwards to pin Conner into the dirt.

As he fell Trey unleashed a roar of the banshee to seal off his opponent’s last attempts at saving himself, before opening the ethereal jaws of his mask even wider and unleashing a torrent of hellfire to burn Conner alive.

The undead pinball, also known as Conner, screamed in anguish as he struggled to remain in the land of the living.  As the torrent ended Trey landed directly on top of Conner’s upper half and grinned through the jaws of his demonic heritage.  “Fuck you.”

He slammed Talsh’Noc’Un through the bone lord’s large skull - piercing Conner’s brain and hearing a sloppy wet crunch… effectively ending the bastard’s life.  Conner’s screaming stopped a second later, but Vorganoth’s did not… and it began to move and shudder of its own volition.

The Sword of the Dead remained screaming with its many voices as a blight upon the world amidst the majestic and glorious song of creation.  The opposing greatsword, Vorganoth, shot out of the dead bone lord’s hand and away from where they stood - but suddenly Vorganoth seemed to slow.  With the help of the lullaby to keep Vorganoth in place and a burst of speed from the enraged summoner - Trey cleared the gap yet again as he hammered down onto Vorganoth with Talsh’Noc’Un.

“DIE!!!” screamed Talsh’Noc’Un in a fit of glee that Trey had never seen before from his friend, but it did not bother him one bit as he himself was lost in a rage and fit of insanity and followed up with his own laughter as he continued to hammer into Vorganoth over and over again.  Without warning and not knowing what was happening, Talsh’Noc’Un was engulfed in a large red energy that coursed out from the two crescent runes, and as Trey made the final blow - he swung down with all of his might to break Vorganoth in two with the most powerful attack Trey had ever delivered.  The earth quaked and trembled beneath the blow, and a crevice split the ground out in front of him in a shower of earth and black magic.

The enemy sword screamed and the plethora of voices shattered the air about them before a shockwave erupted from their location and nearly knocked Trey backwards.  The screams of Vorganoth intensified until a high pitched whine was all that was left, and in the end they too disappeared to leave nothing but a smoking husk of what was once a weapon of legend.

Trey blinked, grinned deviously, and let out a triumphant shrill cry to the heavens.  He looked around like a maniac in search of new prey, but he was now outside the city in a sea of broken trees and charred land.

He continued to chuckle as his fit of insanity and rage lingered for a time, but now that the battle had been won: both his berserker trait and insanity soon disappeared to leave him panting above the broken blade at his feet.
