2020-12-12 22:55:59 +0000 UTCIβm not saying that Kendras accent isnβt at times distracting but I give the actress (Bianca Lawson) credit for doing research because the show didnβt want the common Jamaican accent so she did get a vocal couch for the small villages with a different patois. It was supposed to be broad Caribbean accent and then when she showed up to film the show runners or director asked for it to be toned down so I think thatβs where it gets muddled. I see what they wanted, she comes from maybe a more rural area, no exposure to the modern things of life, etc but it sometimes falls flat.
