I just had a funny thought, what if Bowser and Sora went to into Wreck-It-Ralph to talk to sonic about how to revive his counter part. Then while they are there they take enough pellets from Pac-Man so he can one up. And also talk to Ryu and Ken to ask about temporarily filling in until they figure out how to revive them????
