Patreon Kill Team!

As some of you may know we're putting together a 40k Kill Team to be painted up as Cardinal Archivists. We've got the models and thought it would be fun if we named each model after one of you guys as a small way or repaying the support you've given us.

In the picture above you can see the 10 marines in question held together with blutac awaiting proper assembly. They're missing extra gubbins like grenades and purity seals but you get the gist.

So how this is going to work is that you just pick a letter and tell us what you'd like to be called in the comments below, that name will then be written on the base when they're painted.  So for example:

“I'd like F and I'd like to be called Aangra”.

Although making the names cannon friendly isn't necessary we would appreciate if the names were kept relatively short just so they're easily readable and that they be kept work safe... so no 'Cockfucker the Loquacious Hound of Labia VI' I'm afraid.

The 3 special guys (sergeant and special weapons) are reserved for people who pledge $10 or more a month, so they get first pick but if they don't want their name on them then we'll open them up to everyone else.

It's first come first serve so the quicker the better partially because we can't wait to start painting them! 

Some minor things may change before they're fully assembled, maybe a different pair of arms will be used to make a pose seem more natural or a special weapon may be changed to something else and while the basics are unlikely to change we felt it best to mention it. 

One other thing: We don't have any specific plans to make this into a full army at this time, it's something that may happen in the future but right now we're happy to just get this basic Kill Team together.  We just thought that needed mentioning because we don't want anyone to miss out on getting their name on one because it doesn't match their Cardinal Archivist character.
