2025-05-04 11:09:36 +0000 UTCDefinitely my least favorite of the three. But I do actually like how the human plot line and war stuff is in the background. Idk how to exactly put it into words. But itโs not movie about humans ya know? Itโs not their story. Itโs the Apes. So I like how itโs like thereโs this background chaos of war and human extinction BUT thatโs not the story being told. It could have been done better for sure, but I do really love the idea. An example would be howlโs moving castle. Thereโs this war and political stuff going on, but thatโs not the story being told. Itโs just a backdrop for the world the characters are in type of thing. I also like how thereโs not 100% clarity about the mutation. We see with nova she loses her speech but sheโs not like stupid or something. And maybe some people end up being worse than others? So there could be a very real threat of a large amount of the remaining population having extremely severe side effects while others donโt or even vice versa. And I think thatโs kind of the point. I think itโs realistic in a way, some people would want to take extreme actions. And those actions would undoubtedly cause tension.

It doesnโt have Caesar but I thought it was still a good movie and it presents such an interesting world where you still feel his influence and legacy many years later. I honestly thought the world building was great and so much more interesting than the first trilogy being so close to modern/current humanity

2025-05-02 23:55:52 +0000 UTCHaven't watched this one yet (putting it off abit ๐) as it's still truly hard to get through, I've always been a huge lover of animals & much more sensitive to seeing them harmed than humans. That's just me in general with all animals, however, my boy Caesar๐ is a whole other level, it truly broke me down mentally & emotionally watching this movie. ๐ญ๐ ๐ญ ๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ U guys need to watch the next movie KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

2025-05-02 23:53:13 +0000 UTCPersonally I enjoyed the gek watch for the apes movies over Indiana, all great films, and the Indiana movies are classics no doubt. Yโallโs watch of the jones movies has been fun and there are goofy and wild moments, but as the previous apes movie showed; these movies are a lot more emotionally complex, there is no black and white, bad and good, and itโs far more interesting watching reactions to that, seeing who sides with who and how hard the death of a character hits, but both series have been peak, glad to see more content like this and excited for what you guys have in store for the future

Cannon was so bummed...lol If only Humans did not project so much (the whole "Intelligent animals are gonna take over and enslave Humans" idea) and accept their downfall. Just because Humans always want to be at the top of the chain and mistreat animals (and other humans they deem inferior), does not mean animals would do it. Well... I guess Koba and his followers prove me wrong haha but I wonder how things would actually go.
