✿ my darlings, hello!

hello there, my dearest darling friends, and thank you so, so for joining me - i hope you are doing well and having a lovely June so far!! 🌷

✿ brushes and textures used!

✿ step one, sketch; i use the ‘watercolour crayon’ found in the ‘oakfrogs favourites’ brushset, to scribble down the basic sketch

✿ step two, lineart; i use the ‘🐸oakfrogs pencil!!’, and sometimes a little bit of the ‘lovely lineart’, both of which are also found in the ‘oakfrogs favourites’ brushset

✿ step three, colour; i use the ‘oakfrogs watercolour’ to give my paintings a lovely watercolour feel!! it’s the brush i’m most proud of!! i also sometimes use the ‘thick pencil’ brush to touch-up colours

✿ step four, blend; i almost always use the ‘my favourite smudge brush ever’ to smudge! it’s difficult to over blend the colours with this since it takes a lot of strokes to blend, but i really like that, because it’s realistic!! and gives a lovely texture!!

✿ step five, touchups; i love the either go back in with the ‘oakfrogs pencil’ again, or the ‘watercolour pen’, to fill in any fine details above the lineart layer!!

✿ step six, texture; to add texture, i have three main steps (sometimes varies!!), i will fill one full layer up with a bright red colour, then turn the layer mode to ‘overlay’, and turn the opacity down to around 20%! next, i’ll add a fully grey layer, then also turn it to ‘overlay’, ten click the magic wand in the top left, go down to ‘noise’, and slide cross the screen to the right to add noise, up to around 100%! finally, i will add my paper texture, i always use ‘my favourite texture’, you can find this by going into ‘paper textures’, then ‘textured white paper’, then download ‘my favourite texture’! i set this to ‘linear burn’ at perhaps 20-30%! it’s very high quality, and i recommend zooming in quite a bit to fully see the texture!! 🌷💌

✿ step seven, most important; give you a kiss on the cheek because you’re a cutie!!!!!!
