My 2020 3D Summary
Added 2020-12-27 19:16:39 +0000 UTCHey guys!
I figured I'd make a post about the changes you guys made possible for my 3D rendering hobby during 2020.
It's been a tough year for sure. But when I only consider my hobby, it was awesome!
There is one thing about funding my hobby that I'd like to mention. I have a family with two kids, so I try to keep my hobby separate from the family cash. Therefore I am heavily dependent on funds from my supporters when it comes to financing my 3D rendering.
So let me get straight to the point. You guys are the best! Thanks to you, I've been able to get so many upgrades this year. I could also refuse some other freelance projects and produce more giantess-themed stories instead!
Here is a brief list of the stuff I was able to get to improve my hobby:
- ZBrush - I've been able to get this powerful software plus Udemy learning courses. That will allow me to create my own 3D models, make better clothes and fluid simulations, and a lot more. I have already started learning how to use this program, and I can tell this will be a huge help to my future works!
- PC Upgrade - I have upgraded my motherboard and CPU for much better viewport performance. This upgrade gave me about 30% more effective CPU speed and it shows a lot! Also thanks to this upgrade I am now ready for upgrading my GPU.
- Wacom Cintiq drawing screen - I got this one just a few days ago thanks to one big and generous commission, thanks;) I've been missing this tool a lot more than I could imagine! It makes my post-processing much more fluent and the results are a lot better. And it's a must for ZBrush sculpting.
- 4k Screen - I was using a Full HD screen until now. It makes a huge difference! And I can finally see my renders in full resolution :D
- Tons of stuff from the DAZ store! Thanks to the funds from my supporters, I was able to take advantage of 30% discounts on gift cards over 300 USD which are offered on the DAZ store from time to time. That allowed me to save an extra 30% when purchasing models and plugins on top of the current store sales. To put it simply, I was able to get more stuff for the cash:)
So as you can see, I was able to grow my hobby by a huge margin over the last year.
In return, I promise I will keep trying to improve the quality of my renders and make the best use of the upgrades I was able to get thanks to your support. I will also keep the supporter exclusive stories coming to give something extra for the people who made this all possible.
Thank you guys a million. I am humbled and grateful beyond measure!
I wish you all the best for the upcoming year, and I hope it will be much better than 2020 was for real-life stuff!
