Unexpected GPU failure

Hey guys!

I've got some not-so-good news for you. My GPU unexpectedly started failing during renders. Luckily it's still under warranty, so I'll be sending it for repair. The repair will take about a month, and by the time I get my GPU back, my work season is starting. I'd love to get a replacement GPU I could use in the meantime (or even my dream card RTX 3090), but unfortunately, there are no GPUs available in any store. That's for the bad news.

The good news is, I've got a lot of renders ready to post-process. And I do have an old 2012 Radeon GPU, so I can use that to keep my PC running. I'll be able to update my Gumroad store for about three more weeks. And I've got quite a few renders ready for "Exposed".

I've also recently bought a laptop with a decent GPU because I didn't want to leave my 3D work entirely.  It isn't nearly as powerful as my PC, but I might be able to work on simple comics with two characters, so that's more good news!

And lastly, I can focus on learning how to use Zbrush now since it only utilizes the CPU. So hopefully, I'll be able to learn some new tricks before I'll leave for work.

So to sum it up a bit. The GPU failure will surely slow me down a lot compared to what I was planning, but there are still plenty of things I'll be able to do. My Gumroad store will not be getting as many updates as I've hoped for, but I think I can keep my Patreon updates coming, maybe even more often:)

And thanks to my new laptop, I'll not be abandoning 3D completely this summer, for the first time in my 3D rendering history:)

When it comes to my Gumroad stories, the plan is like this:

Jungle Trouble: A new three-chapter story I am working on with "Soccerman100".  Unfortunately, I'll be only releasing the first chapter thanks to the GPU failure. I'll be able to finish the rest of the story once my GPU is back and I am home from work. I can't make any promises when, though.

Falling for her: There will only be one new chapter to the story. The original plan was to finish this comic (I expect two more chapters to this story). The rest of the comic will have to wait until autumn, it seems.

Venetian Nights - Date Night: This one will have to wait until autumn as well. I am expecting three more chapters to this comic.

Size switch: A new mini-GTS story. I've got the first chapter ready, and I was planning to continue this story on my laptop when I am at work. Thanks to the GPU fault, I'll probably be focusing on creating this story now. I am not yet sure how many chapters there will be to this comic as the story unfolds when I am working on it:)

Exposed: Hopefully, this story will not be affected by the GPU failure. I think it's about 70% complete now.

So that's about it, guys. It's not very good news, but the situation isn't bad at all. And once again, it's all thanks to you guys!

Without your support, I wouldn't be able to buy Zbrush or the laptop, and my 3D work would have stopped entirely because of the GPU fault. So thanks a lot, guys. I am most grateful for your support!
