I finished another Witchtober painting! Iโm very happy with how this one turned out! ๐งก๐งบ
I was initially inspired by Shirakawa-go in Japan and wanted to add a village. However, I eventually decided to take it out since it looked too busy. I was also really inspired by Rapunzelโs and Enchantedโs concept art backgrounds, so I decided to add some whimsy shapes to the trees. I hope to push my shape language in the future and see other creative ways I can alter organic shapes.
Iโve been inspired by the fall colours lately, so I canโt help but paint a lot of oranges and reds, and I was going to create a different landscape. Still, after going on walks to enjoy the colours I caved in and decided to do a fall-themed-painting. ๐
My favourite part of this painting is the cat. It was inspired by my partnerโs family cat named Moppet, who is currently 25 years old! (can you believe it?!) ๐คฏ
